A New Frontier in Video Production – The Rise of a Virtual Studio
On a vibrant campus of Hang Seng University, a visionary project emerged to revolutionize video production. The Creative Humanities Hub (ITSC MKSL Innovation Lab) embarked on the creation of an innovative virtual video production studio, bridging the gap between education and professional practice.
The journey began with the installation of a remarkable LED wall, designed to provide immersive backgrounds for various productions. Technicians carefully calibrated the wall to ensure high visual quality, while the studio was equipped with advanced lighting systems and state-of-the-art control technologies, including Disguise for XR image processing and Tricaster for live production.
Once the studio was set up, the focus turned to skill development through workshops led by industry experts, training essential techniques like software navigation and live switching. The studio’s inauguration featured a captivating virtual lecture that inspired students to delve into content creation. This innovative space has transformed the university’s educational landscape, equipping a new generation of storytellers with the skills needed to thrive in the digital age.
The establishment of the virtual studio at MKSL Innovation Lab marks a significant milestone in video production and education, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and igniting passion in the next generation of creators.
